		<description>This is one of the reasons I appreciate ColdFusion and there implementation of Web Services via CFC's.   You can access these services in three totally different ways.  

1.) As a Cold Fusion Component from the same server.
2.) As a web service through standard soap
3.) As a propietary format they use to communicate with Flash MX.  ie. Flash Remoting.  This format is a streamlined binary format with alot less overhead then the standard CFC's


I think there is an advantage to having a standard interchangeable format, my biggest complaint is just don't make it human readable, and then you will save the nasty overhead of xml.</description>
